Cloud Based Platform Needs
To meet the needs of sharing sustainable practices and conducting joint research, a cloud-based platform is essential. The platform should allow for data integration, modeling, and accessibility to project partners. The Center for Transdisciplinary Research (CTR) in Sri Lanka identified the necessary characteristics of the system, including cloud-based hosting, data collection and dissemination, analysis results demonstration, training and education program deployment, and online program conduct.
Additionally, collaborative research capabilities through the platform interface are desired. Accordingly, the APN platform is being developed using the EnviForecasting online platform, specifically designed for urban flood control.
