Real time Hydrology Dashboard
A real-time hydrology dashboard was created using the tools and functionalities offered by the enviForecasting platform. The dashboard focuses on investigating and analyzing the hydro-meteorological patterns in the Kelani basin and Metro Colombo area. It provides visual representations of the current rainfall distribution, catchment response through water level change data, and historical extremes of the year.
The rainfall data used in the study is sourced from the weather station network established by the Center for Urban Water (CUrW) in Sri Lanka. This data is utilized to examine extreme rainfall conditions within the basin. The hydrology dashboard serves as a valuable tool for monitoring and studying the hydrological dynamics of the area in real-time.
